SwimEx Hot & Cold Plunge Tanks - Muscle Recovery & Revitalization
SwimEx Hot and Cold Plunge Pool Spas are designed to create the ultimate recovery and revitalization environment for athletes.
The cold plunge pool’s chiller system keeps the water temperatures at a therapeutic 50 degrees fahrenheit (10°c) to help control joint inflammation and enhance muscle recovery. The hot plunge pool/spa's system keeps the water at temperatures up to 104-degrees fahrenheit (40°c) to help with muscle recovery. The modular design and size of these hot and cold plunge pools provides the ultimate in facility design flexibility and is ideal for locker rooms, athletic training centers or fitness facilities.
The new Chicago Cubs Spring Training complex in Mesa, Arizona, offers a 15,000-seat spring training stadium and a full training facility with 4 medium hot and cold plunge tanks and a 1000 T pool with an integrated treadmill.
Why hot and cold plunge tanks? Intense exercise actually causes microtrauma, or tiny tears in muscle fibers. This muscle damage not only stimulates muscle cell activity and helps repair the damage and strengthen the muscles ( muscle hypertrophy), but it is also linked with delayed onset muscle pain and soreness (DOMS) , which occurs between 24 and 72 hours after exercise. Then, with rewarming, the increased blood flow speeds circulation, and in turn, improves the healing process.
Choose from our 4 basic sizes or customize your own to fit your particular needs. SwimEx plunge pools are free-standing and self-supporting and may be installed in-ground or above ground. The pools are prefabricated in fiberglass resulting in superior cold and heat retention and unmatched beauty.
The standard cold and hot pools are white with a border color to match team colors - team logo tiles are available. Custom appearance options are also available. The pools come pre-plumbed with a chiller or heater and filtration system.
