University of Kentucky Wildcat teams know the value of SwimEx Plunge TanksJuly 8th, 2014
The University of Kentucky knows a thing or two about what it takes to win championships. The Wildcat teams have won 11 national championships with its latest being crowned on April 2, 2012 by the men’s basketball team. UK football has also won the Sugar Bowl and Music City Bowl.
SwimEx hot and cold plunge tanks proved to be such a benefit to the basketball team in 2012, the soccer team team ordered their own in 2013.
In 2014 the Wildcat football team demanded their own for their new football facility. UK Athletics approved a $45-million project to build a new football training facility adjacent to Commonwealth Stadium and the Nutter Field House. The new two-story facility will include training areas, weight room space, and a hydrotherapy room complete with SwimEx plunge tanks. The new facility won’t be completed until 2106 be they wanted to be sure the SwimEx plunge tanks were installed for this season! This makes a total of six plunge tanks on campus!
