January went by fast. I hope everyone is keeping their New Year’s resolutions! For me, I hit every training session: swimming 24,500 yards, biking 552 miles and running 115 miles. Well 2014 was quite a ride – ups and downs – but all in all a very good year. My 2014 triathlon training totals were: Swimming, 255,774 yards (in my SwimEx); Bike, 5,414 miles; and Run, 1,279 miles. October presented me with a few bumps in the road. It was an adjustment going from working out 25 hours a week to no real training. I also had to recover from the nagging muscle issues that go along with 12 months of hard training. Madison, WI – This home owner needed a pool to assist with physical therapy. The skylights were used to help increase the amount of sunlight and heat, especially with the long Wisconsin winters. Ironman Training pays off with 20lbs weight loss since January! – “April has been a long month. My training was complicated by having eye surgery that limited my workouts some, including 2 weeks with no swimming allowed. No worries, all is ok now and back on track. Although February was a short month I was able to get in some solid training with 23,900 yards of swimming, 113 miles of running and 428 miles of biking.
