Training heats up for this SwimEx Ironman. Things are really starting to heat up in training. August has been a tough month with a significant build that included 38,700 yards swimming, 148 miles running and 710 miles of biking. Ironman Training pays off with 20lbs weight loss since January! – “April has been a long month. My training was complicated by having eye surgery that limited my workouts some, including 2 weeks with no swimming allowed. No worries, all is ok now and back on track. Hi again. Welcome to anyone following my progress. Although February was a short month I was able to get in some solid training with 23,900 yards of swimming, 113 miles of running and 428 miles of biking. I avoided chocolate and all carbonated beverages and caffeine for the month and lost 5 pounds. I finished off the month with a 3 mile race where I finished 1st in my age [Read the Rest…]
