rick mcavoy to the swimex team
Rick McAvoy graduated from Becker College in 1988 with an Associates degree in Physical Therapy and then from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1992. Since that time he has been practicing exclusively in the field of Aquatic Physical Therapy. In addition, he has continued his graduate education, attaining a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire in 2007. He is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Rick has invented aquatic exercise equipment, which sells internationally and is a published author in the field of Aquatics and Conditioning. He lectures nationally and in 2005 received a grant funded by the Foundation for Physical Therapy to validate the effectiveness of aquatic exercise.
