The new hydrotherapy room at the Chicago Cubs Spring Training complex in Mesa, Arizona, offers a 15,000-seat spring training stadium, six fan-accessible practice fields, community park and pond, and a full training facility with SwimEx pools. There are 4 medium hot and cold plunge pools and a SwimEx 1000T pool
“The most intriguing fact is that SwimEx pools can be used through every phase of rehabilitation and conditioning,” said SwimEx rep Meredith Thomas, who worked with Chuck Baughman, head minor league athletic training coordinator for the Chicago Cubs. “The Cubs wanted to use the pool for athletes recovering from injury all the way to high-intensity conditioning. The multiple work stations in the pool and the integrated treadmill gave them exactly what they needed.”
When the Cubs christened their new spring stadium in 2014, the Cactus League drew a record crowd of 14,486. Are you looking for more hydrotherapy conditioning protocols. Download the Cubs training routine.
