Help for Heroes, one of the largest U.K. charities, provides direct support to those with injuries and illnesses sustained while serving the British Armed Forces. The Phoenix Centre Team completed a 24 hour triathlon challenge – running, swimming and cycling – to raise money for this great cause.
The specialist team at Help for Heroes focuses on the five key areas of an individual’s life: medical, mind, body, spirit, and family.
No Matter when someone served, we give them the support they need to lead active, independent and fulfilling lives. We provide support to the whole family to help them all cope with challenges they face. Long-term recovery is more than repairing damaged bodies and minds – it’s about rebuilding lives.
Help for Heroes is committed to providing direct, practical support to individuals as well as building long-term support for their futures. Congratulations to the team and this successful fundraiser! To learn more about their event, the money they raised, and to donate, visit their donation page.
Help for Heroes has a SwimEx 600 T with a deep well. This pool is the most powerful aquatic therapy machine in the SwimEx line of hydrotherapy pools. It features eight performance zones and an angled platform for ultimate aquatic running. With the adjustable floor, you can gradually increase weight-bearing activities for the ideal aquatic therapy environment, progressive strength training, and rehabilitation programs. The deep-water well is designed for total non-weight bearing rehabilitation and conditioning applications for more aggressive therapy.
