Congratulations to the Major League Baseball teams who have made the playoffs! Here’s a showcase of our SwimEx baseball teams that use SwimEx for their sports therapy needs.
The Red Sox are back in the playoffs for the third straight year after winning the American League East division again. The Red Sox had a great season, winning 108 games, the most in franchise history. The Red Sox use a SwimEx 600 T hydrotherapy pools for training and rehabilitation.
Sports therapy pools with a warm water current like the SwimEx 600 T create exceptional resistance for additional support, increased intensity, and maximum versatility. These specific therapy pools can vary in depth. SwimEx pools offer different performance zones for walking, running, swimming, full body exercises, and deep water treatments.
The Indians are back in the playoffs for the third straight year, after winning the American League Central division for the third straight year. Their goal is to get back to the World Series after falling short in 2016. The Indians use a 600 T with a 2″ extension.
Hydrotherapy is a low impact tool that yields high impact results with limited joint stress and muscle fatigue. It’s a safe environment where athletes achieve intense workouts without risking injury. From upper body exercises, running, conditioning, and sports specific drills, there is no limit to what can be accomplished with a therapy pool.
The Rockies were able to continue their season by beating the Chicago Cubs (another SwimEx team) in the Wild Card Game. The Rockies fell short in 2017 by losing in the Wild Card Game. The Rockies use a 600 T.
Athletes recover faster with aquatic therapy following an injury. During rehabilitation, treatment can be implemented before land therapy protocols for earlier injury intervention. Aquatic therapy keeps athletes conditioned as they recover so they are ready to play as soon as they are back in the game.
The Brewers are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2011. They won the National League Central division. They are currently renovating their spring training facility to include six SwimEx pools that include a SwimEx 1000 T hydrotherapy pool with two integrated treadmills, along with hot and cold plunge pools.
Arguably one of the most successful organizations in sports. The Yankees are back in the playoffs for the second year in a row after winning the Wild Card game. The Yankees were one win away from going to the World Series last season. They are looking to get back there and add to their 27 World Series Championships. The Yankees have a 600 T with a 2″ extension.
The Astros are back in the playoffs for the second year in a row after winning the American League West division two years in a row. They are the defending World Series Champions, and are looking to do it again this post season. The Astros use a SwimEx 600 T and a medium cold plunge pool. Cold plunge pools reduce muscle inflammation by decreasing lactic acid build up. When used post exercise, athletes gain the beneficial effects of working out with less pain and muscle soreness.
