Jake Campbell

As a certified athletic trainer and collegiate swimmer, Jake brings his passion for health, wellness, and aquatic experience to the SwimEx team. An avid snowboarder, fisherman, and mountain biker, he’s a true adventurer who loves the outdoors.

Jake received a master’s degree in kinesiology from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Clarion University/California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion, PA.  While at Humboldt, he participated as a concussion research assistant in the N.C.A.A. Department of Defense C.A.R.E study.  He is a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine (performance enhancement specialist) and the American Red Cross CPR.

Prior to joining SwimEx, Jake worked as a certified athletic trainer for Humboldt Hand and Foot Therapy, an occupational therapy clinic in Eureka, CA.  While attending Humboldt State he served as an assistant athletic trainer, supervising organized practices and games for football and track and field athletes. Jake also served as a summer intern for the Indianapolis Colts where he assisted athletes with rehabilitation programs. In 2016, he won an award for best student original research for his master’s thesis and presented at the annual Medicine of Cycling conference in Colorado.
